In
Coimbatore, a research centre is quietly making history
The Dalmia Centre for Research and Development (DCRD)
was set up in 1990 to integrate the potential of Indian
medicinal plants with western technology. Since then,
under the leadership of Dr Murali, it has become a leading
innovator in plant-based medicine with significant breakthroughs
in agriculture and health.
Today DCRD is a powerhouse of information on plant formulations.
Its contribution to sehat solutions has been quite phenomenal,
with many patents to its name. It is an accredited ISO
laboratory with an ongoing overseas collaboration for
various R & D projects.
DCRD has been openly felicitated by the Government of
India for creating new intellectual property for the
nation.
