Dalmia ConsumerCare
(DC) is part of the diversified Dalmia Group which has
business interests ranging from industrial chemicals
to IT-enabled services. DC is a breakaway from traditional
businesses and was launched in April 2003.
It is a concept marketing company that will develop
innovative products in the Rs 45,000 crore oral gratification
space. Each product will have a health tag attached
to it and will serve millions of urban consumers with
a rural mindset. Two successful products already launched
include Vardān (a tobacco-free biri) and Chabaaza
(a safe alternative to pan masala chewing). The export
potential for these first-of-a-kind products is tremendous.
DC is actively involved
in researching health products through the Dalmia
Centre for Research and Development and has already
filed several patents. It is also a founder-member of
the Sehat Foundation.

in over 1000 cities and 700,000 outlets in the country.
